Dancing in the Rain

Some people have a jar for coins; they collect them and roll them for use on a rainy day. I collect quotes; as I re-read them they are morsels of inspiration and encouragement. Here are a few that are speaking to me this week.

Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second. Give your dreams all you’ve got and you’ll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you.
- William James

Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass... it's about learning how to dance in the rain!

Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy - they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Marsel Proust

Thanks for visiting - I'm a lazy blogger so not much in the way of exciting reading LOL. I lived in Orlando for several years...sang at Disney with the Voices of Liberty. Where in Florida are you?
enjoyed reading your 25 random things...many of them could appear on my list =0)

Blessings.

I collect quotes too! I keep them in a journal along with my collection of favorite Bible verses.
As for your last quote...That makes me grateful for you!

Somehow I missed your last post, so I am commenting on it here instead.

2. Never been there but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it either.
3. Me too! Me too! Me too!!
4. I LOVE that Mercury Comet!
6. Pollyanna..haha...Believe it or not, I come across the same way (until you get to know me better). But I am DEFINITELY the peace maker!
7. Me too! (I'm saying that alot)
8. OK, You got me there...NOT ME!!
11. What a wonderful idea! I think that is just great, but it would be hard to let go...at least with some of them. lol
12. impressive
14. Me too. Of course I am also like that if I am in the middle of humming the Brady Bunch theme song. (lol)
17. Valedictorian-WOW- Impressive again.

What an amazing and scary time to have experienced. There was so much hatred everywhere. Although this is just a tiny bit of it, I love the movie Remember the Titans.
21. My kids were immunized but you stood up for what you felt was important and that is important...especially when you are doing it for your kids.
22. LOVE consignment stores!
24. Volunteering is awesome. It helps others BUT ir also helps you, as the volunteer. Some of My happiest times were volunteering.

Well, now I don't need to do my 25 things because most of them are here!

Have a great day!!!

I love to keep good quotes nearby too so I have a list on my sidebar. Great food for thought.

Great idea about keeping quotes. I never thought of it. I'll have to do that.

Also, thank Builderman for his advice on my home makeover. I like the idea of the vent and removing the green boards and painting the stucco and flower beds. We may still paint the brick just because it is such a non-descript color.
We got a program from HGTV and we decided to take our time and not jump into doing something quick that we might not be satisfied with.
