Carol hosts Saturday Stirrings every week and I have been uninspired lately about cooking so haven't posted any new recipes but let me tell ya- I'm feeling inspired today. This may not count as a "recipe" but I did add water, roll them out and fry them and then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Oh - you wish you were here! With a cup of the chicory coffee.... what a way to start the day. Builderman was thrilled.
This is a great gift idea. You can order from Cafe du Monde online! Scroll down to yesterday's post for the rest of the story.

those look soooo yummmmy!!!! i may have to order some because I have always wanted to try them!!
How long did they last?! :)
I love beniets! I had them only one time when I was in New Orleans. About the fauxtatoes, I did like them, but if you were expecting anything close to mashed potatoes, you'd be very disappointed!

Hey Girl,
I've never had those but if they are as tasty as they look I'm in!
Anything that looks like ,smells like or taste like a bread is wonderful to me.
I love bread!
In fact that is what has gotten me on the plump side.
Yum!!
Pamela
Oh they look So yummy. I love anything that resembles bread also, like pinkshoelady. (especially if powdered sugar is involved!)
My cooking, although, lacks something. Oh yeah, taste. That's what it lacks.
I can, however, make a delicious bowl of cornflakes!
Mmmm! Deep fried anything is mmmmm!
Look at you! You are a pro!!! Looks like something I could buy downtown. :)
Glad you enjoyed them (pretend they have 0 WW points)! ;)
I'm with CK, deep fried anything is always good. I used to always say, "If you don't know how to cook it, fry it, it's bound to be good!"
The three finalists in the Blog Makeover contest have been announced at Rich Gifts & Graphics. http://richgift.blogspot.com/
Thanks for participating!
**offtopic** - You asked where the "JO" came from...Edie won't tell her middle name, it's a big secret, so ADHD said that her own middle name was from petty coat junction, and Edie correctly guessed that it is Jo. (Her name is Mary Jo). So Edie calls her ADHD-Jo.
p.s. Your entry was most definitely the nicest entry among them all. You are really a special gal.
p.s.s. You realize if you call ADHD your sister, than you get me too?
Not only do you get Chatty Kelly for a sister, but ET for a sister too. And then there is our brother who we never even mention in the blogs...be afraid....be very afraid.
Your sister,
Susan Lucci (this is how I'm signing all my posts and comments today)
P.S. OH YEAH...You get our MOM!!! RUN AWAY! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!
BTW, Those treats look like the elephant ears they sell at the fair. YUMMY.. Deep Fried, Bread, Powdered Sugar...nothing better.
Great, now I'm hungry.
Susan
Aren't those two SISTERS fun!
I just clicked on the closeup of those treats you made and man they DO look good! I'm sure Builderman was very happy. So did he save any for the rest of us? ;)
Including this one, you now have 15 comments. Over half of them are from CK and me. If you are going to be our sister, you may either want to get some earplugs or learn to speak LOUD!!
