My annual movie outings are usually during the holidays with my girls. Thanksgiving evening seems to be a consistent time to get out of the house - I’ve usually been cooking for the previous 24 hours like everyone else.
Last Thursday, we saw The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. It was the best movie I’ve seen in a good while. It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me think. To top it off, it had a happy ending. It’s based on a true story and brought to mind the family story of one of my favorite bloggers, Lysa TerKeurst .
If you get a chance to see it, I'm thinking you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

We saw it as a family last Saturday, and every one of us loved it too. Excellent movie! And, yes, I thought of Lysa the entire time too. :)
Glad to have your review on the movie. I'd like to see it as well over the holiday season.
BTW, I so enjoyed the quote of your grandmother's that you left on my posting the other day. I had to smile when you said you inherited the shoes....
I would love to use the quote in an upcoming posting and wonder if you would grant permission to use it. Will you let me know?
Happy Day! Brenda
I want to see that ssooooo bad! Glad to hear it has a happy ending; I've pretty much banned sad endings. There are enough of those in real life.
I've heard this is good. Thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you for the recommendation. I love Sandra and I am always on the look out for good movies.;)
Have a lovely weekend,
xo
loved the movie!!!
I am headed to Dothan to visit my ailing (and getting well we believe!) grandmother in the hospital tomorrow and I think I will be stopping by the theatre to see this one myself. I too generally only see movies during the holidays. I took the kids to see new Disney last week and we are going to see the Squeakwel this week. I think momma deserves a movie treat too! :-P
