Memorial Day weekend became super-special to our family 19 years ago when our youngest daughter was born in the middle of the holiday weekend.
She’s taking summer classes in college, but came home to celebrate her birthday with us. Her brother and sister were able to both be here on Sunday for a very special time together.
It rained most of the weekend, but that didn’t deter any of our fun. Blueberries are just coming into season and there’s no one in the world who loves blueberries more than my daughters. When they were growing up, we lived 10 minutes from a Blueberry U-Pick farm and they became accustomed to eating as many as they wanted. The rain stopped long enough for us to pick blueberries at this beautiful farm that just opened last year. It’s only about 25 minutes from my house. Wish I could send you some via email. They are plump and sweet and a wonderful treat.
P.S. I’ve learned how to work many of the features of my new Blackberry phone which I fondly refer to as my “Blueberry”.

good for you...love that you call it a blueberry :)
your daughter is beautiful
Hope your daughter doesn't mind that her birthday post is titled "plump and sweet"! LOL
Fun times. Happy birthday to your girl.
Looks like your weekend was extra special!
Oh the joys of a daughter! I have but one, now 38, and I cannot imagine the world would be so wonderful if not for her.
I grew up near a blueberry farm and developed quite a fondness for them early on. Now they're the newest of super-foods, rich in antioxidants. Bonus!!
Be blessed,
Kathleen
Blueberries don't come into season until after the 4th of July here, but I take my daughters blueberry picking every year. We certainly are kindred spirits! :)
My belated birthday wishes to your girl.;)) Isn't it amazing what these days a Blueberry can do; anything from organizing, surfing the net to phone calls and taking unforgettable pictures.;))
hahaha, I am still learning about my Black/Blue berry!
and for the real blueberries...we love them also! I have a great recipe for Blueberry breakfast cake if you'd like it...though I am sure that you have many seeing as you live so close!

How nice to have your young one home. Our youngest has his 20th b'day on May 31st which is often in the midst of Memorial Day. He shared a b'day with my dad and my hubby's grandma. They are both gone now, tho.
She must love you very much, coming home on her birthday. And it shows.

I love blueberries! When the kids were young, we also picked blueberries to our heart's content.
I am now the proud owner of three blueberry bushes... If I had more land, I'd have a lot more!
