A Rosebud that Weighs 7 lbs. 8 oz.

Addison Rose, the firstborn of my firstborn is here. She came 10 days early on Sat. July 11 at 7:53 a.m.

Uncommon Blonde called at 2:30 am on Sat. morning to let us know she was in labor and headed to the hospital. It's a 7 hour drive from our house to hers, so my plan was to be packed and hopefully hit the road when I got the call. I wasn't exactly packed. LOL. Addison arrived in less than 5 hours from start to finish. Really fast, especially for a firstborn. Isn't that awesome?! She was just a few hours old when I got here and I have had a grin on my face since this photo was taken on Saturday.

They came home from the hospital yesterday and everyone is doing well, lack of sleep notwithstanding. I'm going to be here for at least 10 days helping in every way I can. I feel like heaven has smiled on us big time. My heart is full.

MyADHDMe sent me over here to see this and boy, I mean girl, I'm glad I came! Grandma and baby are beautiful treasures here- one for the other. I hope I get one of these someday. I don't have a daughter in law- yet- but two sons, so hope.

A million congrats! Come visit me sometime- though you will have no time for awhile, looks like. Fun,fun!

Beverly, you are one stunning grandma! And your little granddaughter is absolutely beautiful!

I also have to say that I totally recognize that baby blanket! It's the same design used when I had my two daughters more than 25 and 23 years ago!! Gotta love that!

May God who lovingly chose to bring Addison Rose into this world lead her and all of you--her family--with love, grace and truth all the days of her life!

Welcome, little Rosebud! Much joy to all of you!

my love, hugs and prayers,
Sylane

When ADHDMe sent out the baby announcement and mentioned the smile, I was totally thinking it would be on the baby! HEE!!

What a treasured photo for your nightstand or mantel. The first one is extremely special, and beautiful as well. My folks first granddaughter is going to be 16!! They still talk about her baby days....ah, what fun you have coming up!

Enjoy every moment, Beverly! Congrats!!

You know I'm reading this 3 days after you wrote it. It got me thinking about when my first one was born and how I loved holding her. So I have to ask, have you put her down yet? *grin*
